Pilot Scenarios

iBot4CRMs will showcase a range of technologies and highlight the benefits of integrating AI, data analytics, and robotics into various recycling processes for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and Electric Vehicles (EVs), through seven validation scenarios conducted across four large-scale pilot sites in Turkey, Greece, Spain and Portugal.

Pilot Scenario at Volt WEG Group

The Turkish electric motor producer is leveraging robotics to extract neodymium magnets from dismantled electric motors from End-of-life Vehicles (ELV).

Pilot Scenarios at E.K.AN.

The Greek recycling center is exploring robotic solutions to dismantle flat panel displays for CRMs (Cu, Au, Ag), desktops for neodymium magnets, and to identify and recover CRMs (Cu, Al) from crashed WEEE.

Pilot Scenario at Ferimet (Celsa Group)

The Spanish company specializing in iron recovery is targeting CRMs (Cu, Au, Ag) from a continuous stream of metal scraps (ELV and WEEE).

Pilot Scenarios at Valorsul

The Portuguese waste authority aims to remove hazardous materials and recover CRMs (Cu, Cr, Zn, Ni, Sn, Al, Mg, Cu) from urban waste and incineration slag originated after waste incineration.
